Oscar Casares is an artist who develops various artistic aspects:
*Painting;
*Creation of scenographic clothing for cinema and theatre;
*Creation of Jewellery.

He has more then 18 years of professional work

Oscar has the privilege to be invited, by the Portuguese Diocese, to paint the official portrait of His Holiness John Paul II. This work of art was inaugurated when the Pope’s representative – Cardinal Eugénio de Araújo Sales - came to Braga (Portugal) to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception and the Centenary of the Coronation of Our Lady of Sameiro.
Also, the artist was invited by the Committee of European Journeys of Heritage to paint the portrait of Her Royal Highness Dona Isabel, Duchess of Bragança.
More recently, he was invited by the Sanctuary of Sameiro in Braga, to paint a panel for the Main Altar of the Sanctuary. It was entitled “Salve Regina”. It received authentication by the actual Pope Benedicto XVI in July 2007.
He is now involved in midst of painting several mural and ceiling paintings at the International Centre of the Order of the Carmelites, in Fatima, Portugal.
Casares was also responsible for the implementation of recognized portrait of actress of Hollywood Mrs. Nicole Kidman.
Oscar Casares is patron of many charitable organizations and leads the project "Diary of a dream", aimed at sensitizing the community to the problem of children who are living in institutions or in the process of risk.
