Thank you, although it look complicated it's not, It was just getting that likeness in the centre right. Those eyes have been light, dark, coloured, shine, no shine, in the end their back to what they started out as. :)   8-)

Very good likeness and colours! Wonderful in such a difficult medium!!!

 brainfree - 13/07/08, 09:05 reply
Thank you, everyone tells me that WC is difficult I find it easy mainly because I have found many skills, techniques and tips to over come problems. I hate to find something is to hard to have ago, most people first discovered WC in school where we slaped it on and made a mess so to make it look like something was difficult so as we got older the difficulty was there in our minds. I find Oil to be difficult. When I stated on here that I sketched with a paintbrush fellow artist were amazed, the japanese have drawn and written with a brush for thousands of years. Anyway sorry my answers so long . :)

 Schnellart - 13/07/08, 17:44 reply
Yes, I cannot paint WC at all, but prefer oil. Just the medium I learned in. I think your work is outstanding! :thumbup:Also youre not writing too long, its good to understand what youre saying!

 brainfree - 13/07/08, 19:13 reply
Thank you, Many skills I have learnt have come from Acrylic's, pastel's, and oil painting their all about tone and light. I'm not the greatest drawer in the world but I'll give anyone a run on WC, I have to feel whatever I'm painting. Is that a bit big headed. :)  :D

 Schnellart - 15/07/08, 04:38 reply
Oh, I certainly think you can give all of us a run on WC! Your work shows both that skill and talent! And no, not bigheaded, just true! ;) :hi:

Wow, the thumb of it looks just like a photo of him. How can you do this with watercolor? :) Great!

 brainfree - 02/09/08, 08:31 reply
Thank you, OK i'll tell you the secret the three things I have gone on about since starting here are: My favourite painter is Frenchman Edgar Degas. he said 'art is not what you see, but what you make others see'! and to me art is about originality, technique and likeness and this is attained by the hard work of practice, perseverance and patience. :) :8)
