All my life i had dogs, maybe that is also why i have such a soft spot for our canine world... and it shows in my work...

naja, man muss nicht jeden mögen, den man zeichnet. es sind einfach die Bilder die einen ansprechen. ich mag zum beispiel nicht so tokiohotel, aber mich hat das eine Bild halt so angesprochen, wo bill durch die Stadt läuft. Amy Winehouse is jetzt auch nicht mein favorit, aber sie ist sehr interessant. Ich versteh dich voll mit dem geniessen, denn du weisst ja mein noch-mann hat meine kunst nie gewürdigt und ich dachte irgendwann, dass ich vielleicht gar nicht so gut bin. Hier habe ich so viel positives feedback bekomen, dass es mich wieder richtig bestärkt hat weiter zu machen Sowas baut einfach auf

ja, das stimmt. Ich hätte nie diesen zeichenstil ohne die seite starportraits. Ich weiss nicht ob ichs dir mal erzählt hab.Ich hab ja vorher einen ganz anderen stuil gehabt und nie mit stiften gezeichnet. Irgendwann sah ich dann die wunderschönen Bleistiftbilder von meike hier. Ich was sowas von fasziniert von ihrem style. Also versuchte ichs auch mal mit stiften und siehe da, der stil komt 100mal besser an und mittlerweile will ich auch mit nix anderem mehr zeichnen. Meine Familie is so vernarrt in meine bilder. Hab nämlich mal oma und opa gezeichnet, als sie noch jung waren. Oder meine mam als sie ein kind war.
Ich hab ein Bild von meine Mam als sie baby war, ich lieeeeebe dieses Foto, sieht wie ne Puppe aus und ich habs sicher schon 100 mal gemalt! Aber will jetzt wieder versuchen, wo ich mehr gemuetlich fuehle mit Bleistifft in der Hand... Ach das ist ja fantastisch, es koennte sein das Du es mir schon mal erzaehlt hast Missi... manchmal bin ich auch vergesslich ich sage einfach, ist das alter! jemand muss ja schuld haben!

First you said i should use BIG pictures to draw from... then you gave me the great tip of having a look for nice pix to draw in the "images of" website! So i might not have told you this lately, but you are my hero Rick!!!! thanks to you (and others, i am learning so much and enjoying art more and more...)
Really? I will be sending you many tips soon, as I must make a list for the class I'm teaching, which starts next week! I guess 8 people signed up, so it's a go! Gonna teach basics of drawing realistic eyes, noses, lips and hair on day 1 (2 hours) and select a celeb portrait for us all to draw together for the remaining 4 classes - each 2 hours. Should be fun!!!

We're also plunged into our 3-day September Winter backlash, when everybody gets hit with their final cold, so wot-a-lot-a-snot-I-got. No flu symptoms, just that dust induced, irritating, forever nagging, blocked nose. I woke up thinking I'd gone back in time - it was still dark and freezing cold and it was 6:30 in the morning (...and guess who didn't want to get out of bed?!?!? ). I think you have a wonderful dog ... my cat is like that. she is always with me, she gets in front of my keyboard when I work. If I leave, she got to the gate,she becomes blind because she aged, she has 15 years ..when Nala growled she runs after her. she is his law, she loves that I caress ... my heart was torn when I think one day she will be gone

But you know what, for animals death is not so emotional as it is with us, they don't have bank accounts, medical accounts, don't have to worry about testaments etc, all they ask is that you love them until the end of time If the time comes sweet Chantal, i am here for you
my sister had a beautiful cat and when he got too old, he decided to run away, my sister was devestated! animals sense if you are stressed, just concentrate on each moment you have and enjoy it!
i so understand you my friend! i just read an article again yesterday about people vs animals and life. 3 cyles, Birth-Life-Death, animals grieve too, but nobody grieves like us, the humans, that is why it is so difficult for us to accept death as part of the cycle.
Oh don't worry about that dear Chantal! it takes little things to slowly see the more positive things in life! And don't forget us women find difficulty in accepting ourselves... we always do everything for the kids, husband, family and very last we might have time for ourselves... that has to change! We have all the right to put ourselves first and it is not a dirty word to say, i love myself...

yes, i also love her, she was so beautiful and talented! and i tried to draw her, too, but i think i chose the wrong picture and i didn't make it.
and the dog is truly beautiful, i like that race, but i don't know how is that called in english..
in polish we say "dziękuję" - i know it's a bit hard generally, i think polish's very hard language, even for us, people from poland
Hello again, Oh, i have chosen wrong pictures too already, you must just never give up hope! if i am correct, the dog is of a Weimeraner Breed, lovely animals. "dziekuje"... i can't find the funny e's.... but i will try to remember! Oh yes, polish seems difficult, like russian!
so maybe you've got the wrong keyboard, we're getting those funny e's by klicking 'e' and the right alt yes, my friends learn russian at school and they say it's very difficult. especially the alphabet.
