Hmmm ... I can say exactly what I said to you about Samuel - about little Miss Scarlett here. (From the same movie I imagine?) - mindboggling, awe-inspiring, masterminded creativity!!! :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:       :hi: :cute:

Thank you, In the film ‘The Spirit’ which is from the Comic book type it is very dark and reflective using the colour blue bathed in made light. I'm more pleased because it is a one off and now I'm seeing my work copied it gives me a great buzz if people other artist feel my humbel efforts are good enough to reproduce. It Inspirtes me to go futher and futher down the origial rroad for me a great journy. :oO:    :8)

Your watercolors ALWAYS come out beautiful!!

 brainfree - 23/09/09, 19:45 reply
Thank you, I'm glad you like it, Yes they always seem to come out OK it must have something to do with the 50 years of practice. I no it sounds very abrupt but it’s very simple never give up, always learn from mistakes and finally be a Yes person, and say nothing is to difficult. Take away the painting not a bad motto for life. I’m a very young old man who has done everything and enjoyed life. I love the company of the young as they have a positive attitude to life. :8)

Thank you, I like your drawing of Jennifer Aniston, I have tried digital computer work but I find it to be just another tool which takes artist down the wrong road, over my many years of doing all kinds of Mediums, from Oil, Ink, Acrylic, Chalk, pencils and watercolour they all have one thing they show the inner person, once likeness is found like in your drawing of J A this excellent example done with skill showing that you should paint or draw more. Nothing is easy everything has a price and I had to wait until I was an old man to further my art abilities. It absorbs my life every day I’m not a well man so I have the time, Yes time the most important thing. Money comes and goes but time just goes. You have a lovely daughter. Brian, brainfree  :8)

Thank you, it's from the film and the type of film I'm a real fan of comic book art as it was the first thing I drew 50 years ago I drew Batman superman and made my own little comic type clips with bubbles for their talking the plots and stories never were as big a draw but the colours and the contrast of light and dark and how they used it to cut down on the likeness stayed my biggest problem is when I slip into what I call illustrator mode. That's how I can be so original. :8)

 ginxy - 23/09/09, 21:59 reply
well, this type of practice obviously works well for you ;)perfect

I would love to paint it very large on say a big canvass showing all the watercolour techniques. :8)

Thank you, I like to have a wide area of interest in painting and find the embodiment and interpretation of film star roles to be a rich source of work. I started painting and drawing people I new and I liked such as Rock stars or singers this proved to be great until I had run out of things or actions they could do. :8)
