in short though, I use a 2B and hold it sideways, and cover small areas while turning the pencil in my fingers so it digs into the tooth of the paper, then I go over it again with a harder pencil, like H or F, and use the same technique of holding it on the side :ok: :grin:

Thanks a lot! You're 17 huh? That's when I stopped drawing. College, etc. I stopped for 29 YEARS! I just started 13 months ago. I've done my entire gallery since then. You will notice from Chevy Chase forward, I started using Bristol smooth paper. HUGE difference! Check it out. Also, I found DeviantArt.com a month ago, and post on both now. I joined for all the features. You can save other's drawings as favs, and you are not limited to the number of artist you can add as friends, and about 30 other cool features.
