wow..In black and white, it's extraordinary, fantastic masterpiece, it's so beautiful, so great, all my congratulations, I embrace you very strong my very dear and master shahin
A strange man, is Christopher Walken. Very strange, indeed, but quite talented! You have captured that strangeness in this portrait, Shahin. Both of your portraits of Walken are excellent, but I will never be an "aficionado" of his. He is a fine actor, but his frequent roles as a mentally unbalanced character are a little too "real" to make him likeable for me. My personal feelings have nothing to do with the quality of your work, however. YOU ARE THE BEST!
thanks. I like to paint various faces( some of them are not my favorite actors, and actresses) new faces are new challenges. it is good for our skill to paint different persons. it sharpen or skill.
I have not been enchanted with every person that I have drawn, either. Still, most of the people I draw, are people whom I like, either for their looks or for their performances, whether in the movies or in some other artistic field or occupation. If I succeed in capturing a bit of their essence upon paper, I am happy.
Interesting what Jojemo had to say about Walken. I'm a fanactical fan of the "strange" Mr. Christopher Walken. So, what I'm about to say is EXTREMELY biased! I find Walken's face hypnotically captivating, whether he plays a hellish archangel, Mafia Don or mouse exterminator. He has a beautiful face! In his mid-30's and early 40's, he actually referred to himself as a "pretty boy". Rent his movies ROSELAND, BRAINSTORM and THE DEAD ZONE, and perhaps, you'll see what I mean. Shahin, if you are looking for a great selection of photographs from which you can draw portraits of Walken, try the Christopher Walken German Forum. It's a stupendous website! I admire your illustrations most of all. The realistic depictions of your celebs are most flattering. It certainly helps to have good "scap" (i.e., photos) from which to paint. And, I agree with Jojemo. I find it more enjoyable to illustrated a subject I admire.
Walken, at least, got me back to drawing portraits again.
...I have to confess something here! I am one of those people who like to see horror movies in every possible opportunity! your mentioned films and many others are enchanting partly for dazzling performance of Walken. any way, I will check the web site you said. thanks for your comprehensive comment.
