:hi:Thanx, John. Not many Henry Hull portraits on the site. That's understandable, but I was sad to see only one (mine) of my favourite Rod Steiger. So, he's on my "to do"list, as I think he deserves to be remembered :hi: :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 14/10/09, 14:27 reply
It's funny. Distribution is funny. Very complex - and arbitrary. Steiger's people may have decided - English speaking only or --- who knows? I put up a Sir Laurence Olivier I thought was pretty good --- nothing. Maybe that was for different reasons. :D :D :hi: :hi:

 heybu9 - 15/10/09, 10:39 reply
:hi: :hi:There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the hits we get on this site. By now ,you know my kind of stuff, and it is generally done with admiration for the subject. YET, I did a not very good one of Ronaldo (soccer) for my grandson. I stuck it one the site just because I could. It has the highest number of hits of any of my work. Doh! :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 15/10/09, 17:11 reply
I know. We should do market research! Shahin told me once - because I asked - that a macro close up he had done of Jolie - got hit 2500 times !! I assumed in a day or two!! On the other hand, I usually get three hits and 12 indignant e-mails!! :D :D

 heybu9 - 16/10/09, 12:27 reply
:hi:Get out of here! The only indignant e-mail you might get is from me, for eventually doing a M. Jackson!!!! And doing it so damn well

 jpoulos2561 - 16/10/09, 15:06 reply
But I loved Thriller! Billie Jean & Beat It. :D :D AND -- finally saw a reference (I had no idea what that nose looked like - if I had drawn it from my impressions, it would have looked like that man who got mauled by a chimp! - an AP photo I didn't have to labor over    but ..... thnx!

 heybu9 - 16/10/09, 16:10 reply
:hi: :hi: :hi:NO, you are allowed to like Jackson (thanx says you!) It's just that there were so many, we ,more sophisticated folks, held back. Now that you have broken ranks, I know it's O.K. to think along those lines!!! I think my version will vere between Pinnochio and the Child Catcher from Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang!!! But he's still only just on the waiting list :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 16/10/09, 16:28 reply
I was thinking of The Thriller Graveyard/Zombie milieu :oO: :oO: This Henry Hull could have been an MJ!! :D :D :hi: :hi: :hi:PS (They may think YOU"RE sophisticated, they think I"M crazy and need to mature!! But ... I DO post a lot of non/anti-portrait stuff. :ok: :ok: :) :) :hi: :hi: :D :D

And without chemical dependancy! :D :D Wouldn't it be great if there was a pill for the imagination!! Oh ... I mean other than that! And that! And that! :D :D :D

 heybu9 - 17/10/09, 10:21 reply
:hi:So many pills, so little time :grin:But my imagination could do with some help from somewhere :hi: :hi:

I recommend Belladonna but haven't been able to find any since 1969! :D :D :D :D :D A 'friend' gave me some then. It caused me to take of ALL my clothes and go out to catch the bus! :D :D :D You know your imagination has been freed. :ok: :ok: :ok:   :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :D :D :D

 heybu9 - 17/10/09, 16:49 reply
:hi:Belladonna!!!!! From my Agatha Christie reading I was sure that was a serious poison. I must be wrong or you're communicating from beyond the veil!! :( :( :( :( :( :hi: :hi:

"The Deadly Nightshade" -- mushroom -- I thought -- Also may grow as a parasite on bushes. Correctly administered, it's a hallucinogen. I think I met Agatha (and others) that weekend! :D :D :D I'm such a straight arrow now!! (Relatively) ;)

 heybu9 - 18/10/09, 11:08 reply
:hi:If you could remember, you probably met a few folks you wouldn't want to meet again      :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 18/10/09, 18:18 reply
If there hadn't been an "intervention" by friends, I would surely have met the Chief of Police! I know ... go ahead and meet whomever but don't call me Shirley!

 heybu9 - 19/10/09, 10:24 reply
:hi: :hi:Always remember that weekend as a warning. You wouldn't want to go through that again surely.   :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 19/10/09, 14:38 reply
Shirley you jest! But, I would! I would! Even with Shirley MacLaine! Even with Shirley Jones! IF I didn't think it would kill me dead immediately. :oO: :D :D :D :D :D

:hi: :hi: :hi:Feel free, John. I think that's what my M.J. would resemble, but you could make a picture of it. Go for it!! :hi: :hi: :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 16/10/09, 17:05 reply
I was thinking a ghoulish Peter Pan ... much more pedestrian than 'the real boy' Pinnochio thing - his nose could shrink!! :D :D I think I've reached my MJ quotient - unless I put him in a mob scene! :) :) :hi: :hi:

 heybu9 - 17/10/09, 10:20 reply
:hi:We are probably right to leave him alone, but I know I will slip one in , in the future. Just because I find his life (as I know it!) very sad. Seems silly to say that about someone who was worth millions, but you know what I mean? :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 17/10/09, 16:29 reply
Poor Michael never had a chance. His early years were so bizarre. He was deformed by his circumstances & the fame. So few are capable of handling such excess. Here we take a little trailer-park dolly like Britney Spears, put her on the cover of every magazine, give her 100 million dollars, and then say: "Oh, my god! She chews gum while being interviewed by Barbara Walters!" :D :( :/

 heybu9 - 18/10/09, 11:23 reply
:hi: :hi:Guess some people can't handle it (as Jack would say) But , rightly or wrongly, I think Michael retained an innocence and was probably sheltered from the real world by those parasites who surround all the "greats" now. It wasn't always so, I remember reading a story of this little man with his hair-piece in a case, arriving alone at the B.B.C. studios in London , saying "Could you tell me where to go, I'm here to do a show, my name is Crosby" They don't make 'em like that anymore and they certainly don't let them out on their own either :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi: :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 18/10/09, 17:57 reply
Gentle, innocent, pure .. MJ's true friends surely say so. And he could certainly have done better with fewer 'advisors.' Everything reminds ME of some old Dylan lyric or another: "And for each unharmful, gentle soul misplaced inside a jail, We gazed upon the Chimes of Freedom flashing." :hi: :hi: :hi:

:hi:OR, Don McLean's "This world was never made for one as beautiful as you" :( :( :( :( :( :hi: :hi:
