Enya, an Irish vocalist, was named the world's biggest selling female artist of 2001. Enya's albums are Ireland's second largest musical export after the band U2.

Thank you, Jeanne. Yes, her music touches my soul also. I used to play a tape of Enya's to help me go to sleep. Not because it was boring, but because it was restful. No shouting, like some singers feel they have to do. Of course now I have her CD's, but I sleep better without music now.
"Orinoco Flow" always reminds me of my brother so I adore Enya. Music makes my world go round - my life has been filled with it --- and movies of course --- and TV ... and WONDERFUL, AMAZING PEOPLE! Have a wonderful day Joyce xxxooo
I agree. Music is also a part of my life. I just turned off our DVD player, which was playing some classical music, because it well past my bedtime. It is 2:31 AM. I have been working on a portrait, but I must go to bed now. I hope you are having a wonderful day, Jeanne.
Hey, nightie-nite Joje-Jojo! Strange since it's just gone 10H10 AM in my part of the world. I'm thrilled to bits to see that there is someone just like me on Planet Earth - I also fight sleep 'cause there's something more worthwhile to be doing. (Then I pay for it the next day ). Sunday night/Monday morning I got one hour's sleep. Monday night/Tuesday morning I got 12 hours sleep.
WHAT!!! You do not know Enya or any of her music? Have you not heard "Orinoco Flow," sometimes incorrectly called "Sail Away," or "May It Be" from movie Lord of the Rings and Fellowship of the Ring? And how about the "Book of Days" prominently featured in the movie, Far and Away? Where have you been, Marino? Her album sales stood at over 80 million, as of last year. So far in her career, she is known to have performed in 10 different languages.
Incredible but certain. My hobby is to make crosswords and to make sport and gymnastic. The films of these last decades don't capture my attention my dear Joyce.
Enya isn't a film star. I do not know if she has ever made a movie. But if you don't go to many movies, you would not hear those songs...unless they are played on the radio. I can not say that I blame you. Most of the movies these days are lousy. My husband and I aren't movie goers, either. But we have watched a few movies that our children have lent to us. My husband is a great crossword addict. He works them with a ballpoint pen,and usually solves them. He also loves sudoku and works the hard ones. I'm stiil in the easy and medium sudoku puzzles. I prefer to draw or read.
I suppose they are different than some of the drawings here. Many of the people I have drawn a portrait of, are no longer with us. Even so, they gave us some memorable hours in the movie theatre. I'm ashamed to say that I do not know anything about some of the recent actors and actresses. I have seen the movie, TWILIGHT, however. The two stars in that movie, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, are well represented on this website.
