Thanks, Hubert. It was another of my quick pieces (two drawings in the same night), but I wanted to see what I could do with charcoal and graphite on the same sheet of paper. It doesn't look a lot like the actor, however.
You are too generous, Hubert, but thanks anyway. This project was mainly an exercise to see how charcoal and graphite would look on the same sheet of paper. That part of the drawing turned out quite well. I only wish I could have captured Richard's likeness in the face better than I did. Maybe hext time, huh.
Thanks, Jeanette. I do not think it looks like the actor, but I am happy with the result of mixing charcoal and graphite pencils on the same sheet of paper....and that was my purpose for doing this one.
Thanks, Marino. The mixing of charcoal and graphite in the same drawing worked quite well. I just wish Richard's facial expression turned out better than it did. He looks more like Frankenstein here, then Richard Armitage.
Thanks. I am packing my bags now. My husband and I are going out of town for a few days. I will take my drawing materials and our laptop, so I can check in here, and check my e-mails. Can't submit any drawings until we get back home, as that is where my scanner is.
