This is a group painting, done with palette knife again, so you get this pixelated effect, almost abstract. In the original image (from Vogue magazine) it is Penélope Cruz and her sister
i m glad to hear that! it is funny, sometimes i paint with TV in the background, and somehow i "print" the story of the movie in my painting! so now that i look at the picture, i remember the dialogs of the movie!! weird!!! has that ever happened to you???
sounds great! I have never thought of that, i often do things and then only later i suddenly have a lightbulb moment and think, HUH, is this deja vu or what?
maybe it is something similar! me sometimes i can even remember a part of a conversation i had while drawing/painting if i look at the picture YEARS later! that is really weird! i could work for the police helping them to solve cases!
yes, it is quite something! i wish i realised i could do that when i was still studing, i might have been a useful way to memorise stuff for exams!! painting while i attend a lecture! (maybe the teacher wouldn´t like it though!)
Well it could be an eccentric way of studying, guess some teachers are old fashioned and might think it would break the concentration of other students... pity though... at least i can ask you something if i forget! somedays i start to think i am suffering from a mini Alzheimers attack! no, i am just a bit crazy sometimes
doing anything exciting for the weekend? i think i m in the only part of Spain where the forecast is not rain for Saturday! we´ll go skiing with people that work with Fabien...but i´ll bring my drawing stuff just in case i have 30 minutes spare!
Today (saturday) i am spending "Home Alone"... will go with the dogs for a nice walk in the park later this afternoon.... Wolf is working, but tomorrow, we are going to my "hermano's" place, he is leaving for Austria on Wednesday, back to work for him, he is the Tennis Coach Boss there, at the Hotel.... Oh i would love to come skiing...
do you skii too? cool! how was your day with the dogs? is your brother based permanently in Austria? it is hard so be so far from the family...i hope you can spend a lot of time together before he leaves!
Yip i can ski, but prefer to ski on the medium slopes, am no ski-girl... my swiss uncle, who taught me, said i look very elegant, i feel like a broomstick! i had this hat to keep my ears warm and made me look like a russian, so my swiss couz, would call me Duchess Babuschka! Yes, Carl, my brother is based permanently in Austria. I am closest with my siblings, i have a HUGE family....
it is great to have a big family!! mine is big too, but ALL of them are in Murcia, and i don´t have the chance to see them very often...maybe they´ll visit me in the spring! Barcelona is an atractive excuse to come and visit! and my snowboard is quite medium level, i don´t really like speed too much, i get scared! so poor Fabien has to wait for me all the time
you don't like speed... on snow i am not a big speed freak either.... but in a fast car.... that is why i loved living in Bavaria, those open zones on the highway...
what are the open zones? no speed limit? wow! i think in Germany they don´t have speed limit in highways...and still have less accidents that in Spain, where we have limits! people drive very badly here!
the open zones are parts where you can drive as fast as your car can go... it has a white round roadsign with like 5 smaller black stripes going across... mostly in Bavaria... You know i was surprised about the driving skills in Italy, because there we did our own driving, the people are so interesting.... in Spain our friend was driving, so we could concentrate on the great scenery.... South Africa, especially where i stay: ROAD RAGE!!!! It is very aggressive here... the people are very unfriendly to other drivers, not only foreign but also their own... down at the coast they are much friendlier... that is why we want to leave this place, but work is here...
ohh i didn´t know you wanted to leave! i felt the same in England, we were there for the job..California is another option! that´s why we keep it in mind! i hope you can also find what you need somewhere else!
i completely agree! i m so glad to meet people like you! i think as artists we have the responsability to constantly innovate (and it is soo much fun too)!

Thank you!...it is not just "nice" to be innovative, it is also very important, don't you think? If one is not innovative, it is boring!
