Excellent idea, top marks for that lacks a little style and skill. OK big tip buy a Derwent soluble pencil about Two dollars it will be the best two dollars you've ever spent Why OK they are water soluble so you can play with the effect and make your idea of blurring the left side look even better also this skill is great for facial shading. Copy right place the copy right symbol away from the face as it can spoil the look. I have painted and drawn for 50 years and copyright is not a big issue only to lawyers as the make money from it all artist copy . This site automatically gives you protection for copyright with date and what you have drawn. A teacher thing is not to worry to much about the likeness but more about the drawings style and drama. I have looked at your gallery and it to has very good drawings look at other peoples work and then ask them how they did an effect the artists will only be to pleased to tell you if you ask. Drawing is about learning skills, technique and finally likeness before going to paint then learning skills and techniques of painting. Have fun brainfree

The thing is, the only place I can get good art supplies is about a 2-hour drive from my home. I appreciate all your advice! The reason why I copyright my stuff is because I put it on more sites than just this one. Also, I found one of my drawings that I posted on my facebook page on another website with some freaky German guy's copyright all over it. Also, I put the copyright in places like the forehead or hair, so that somebody cannot cut it out of the picture if they take it and crop it. f they tried cutting it out, they would ruin the portrait.

Awesome! Thanks sooo much! I'm sure she'll love it and I will too. I'm assuming you named your sons those names for biblical sake? My mom did that with her latest 4 children.... I, however, was named after Steven Tyler.

There is a Steven in the Bible. The name is spelled Stephen but it is the exact same name & the same meaning which is "someone who has been honored." As one who wins a race is given wreath or garland. Bye for now Ray Gonzales(aaronmark)
