Very good, basic drawing good more dark and that uniformity of shading to the sides but not on the facial marks. Eyes excellent they stand out . If you like him draw his until you don't so long as you find it easy to find difference. I have many favourites Milla Jovovich, Welsh singer Duffy and many more. Like you I find them never boring but I keep and open mind on others I think I've painted Gerard Way, I will check Now I know everyone says that painting is difficult but it's only difficult if you make it so but the world of colour is huge and makes shading less difficult it then becomes the word tone. so how do I start well first get parents to buy a set of pastels to teach you about tone and shading with colour then watercolour crayons or pencils the a simple set of watercolour . One year and my kind of work is possible your young so it will be a breeze, 6 months and work you can set people gasping. Not difficult;t just a simple things to learn Simple outline drawing, then where to place tone or colour and finally to practice likeness which you have an head start on. Not difficult just needs practice, commitment and a little time 15 to 30 minutes a day . Al most important of all it's FUN Fun fun and the pays great once leant and can be a way of making a living it teaches patience, concentration how to see things at a glance. All possible I don't try to sell the life style because it it hard work I have to see talent or that God given thing no one wants to see because it is only difficult for the people who say I can't or that would take me years Be positive, be brave have fun./         :8) :magic:

merci! The brightness of my scanner took away that shading, I'll make it darker. You should paint Gerard Way, especially when he had red hair! wow, I can do that self-taught? I'm making my mom go and buy me artist pencils, I'll ask for pastels too! drawing is a lot of fun, so is learning how to get better! thanks sooooo much for all this adivce, its very helpful! It'll probably take more than 6 months though becuase schools gonna start :/

It's difficult to ask a parent for art equipment , so you must explain you need it to improve, Don't worry it she will accept your pleas for them? if she sees passion and commitment. I'm a parent myself of much older boys than you and support is what we do as parents, try drawing one of her favourite actors work at it a bit. I did not become a better artist sticking to the same old people (mind I have favourites too) Drawing and painting improve concentration and help with other school subjects so so long as they are needed you will succeed be bold and brave show fun and passion in your work. I have one boy who is very talent at art but has no passion and the other just takes photo's although he has the eye for it. Brian
