But he is Lope de Vega, not Cervantes...

Hmmm...I think you are wrong...I did some research before this was done, and it was done for an educational company, so I think they would have caught it if it were wrong.

You only have to see it in google images: images.google.es/images?hl=es&q=lope%20de%20vega&sa=N&tab=wi I continue thinking it is a portrait of Lope.

wow, you are right! Amazing...who knows who is right? Check the search I did for Cervantes...images.google.es/images?svnum=10&hl=es&lr=&q=miguel+cervantes

This is because the image is wrong. I am right because in Spain you can see the portrait of Lope in paintings and statues, and he has the face of the man you painted. Cervantes doesn´t have a real portrait, but the "official" is www.aache.com/quijote/autor.htm

Beautiful painting!!!!!!! Servantes was a genius!!!! Anyway it's not really possible to know what he or Lope looked like exactly, contemporary artists might have used their "artistic license" :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
