Thank you for your comment... Your portraits are pretty good so far considering your age. You're still young and have all the time in the world to improve your style. "Proportions" are difficult to master but you're on the right track. You have a good sense of observation. My first advice: you need to work on the different level of shades, to create "volume" on a face. Feel free to darken the face more. Then you can work on details (eyes, teeth). Hair are the hardest part but you're not there yet... I don't think I was that good at your age, it's all about practice, so keep up the good work!

I love using gouache it is so flexible and the colors are terrific. I haven't done any movie stars in the medium yet but check out my web site I have some winter scenes done with gouache.
