To see it so close: that's a different style. When I look at it I think this must have been a lot of work :-? What's the original size?

You have great skill and i'm glad you have found the time to return to art. I'm lucking in on way that I have plenty of time and since having an eye operation I seem unable to put a pencil or brush down.

First of all, thank you for your nice compliment. Yes I still love to draw and paint and I'm taking my time for it. But do I understand right, that you can't paint right now? That must be hard. But this one you've painted, didn't you? Or was it computerwork? Nevertheless, I like it and you did it great! Wish you good luck with your eye and keep making all these arts :ok: ....... :hi:

Although, I may use a Comuter to lighten or darken a painting. I have completly painted all the orignals this one in both A4 and A3. Comupter art is Ok but I draw a sketch then slap on paint.

I think that nowadays (almost)everyone uses a computer, more or less. Why not, it can be helpfull. But me too, I use the brush and the paint. I love doing that (and sometimes a pencil- that's also fun). Have a nice evening and I'llbe watching your work...Bye....

You're a very good artist... I've never tried to work with watercolor..., however, I should try... your paintings are really amazing...

 brainfree - 12/05/08, 18:10 reply
Thank you Katie, It's not painting up to lines or making a mess but it is easier than drawing. I've visited your gallery and you have draw some wonderful drawings especially the Jake Gyllenhaal portrait. From the shading that you have mastered, you could paint very well as it's about tone across the paper. and learning about dry watercolour and wet. I used black background with acrylic on this painting so that after drying the black would not move because different to a pencil like charcoal you can remove or move colour. ;)
