Thank You, just a technique that anyone can do after a little practice. I applied masking fluid down the hair and scraped off after. Then I purposely left the one side of the face white, then I just blended the flesh tone from the other side over it. I also have a small spray to do the light highlights like on the chin and throat. Not so Angel like then just painting. :)

A truly remarkable piece. I haven't done a lot of water color but this makes me want to try the technique. Thanks for sharing your gallery is fabulous I could spend hours here.

Thank you, the perfect drawing or likeness you talk about on your gallery is for photograghs. I draw from the heart and the head I worry very little about likeness as moostly people say about drawings I think are poor that they are great. My Favourite Artist is Edgar Degas (French) he said; 'Art is not what you see, but what you make others see'! I'm glad you like my painting. :)

I love his Blue Ballet dancers. very impressionist. I have my little saying to make myself improve it’s: ‘Show originality, technique and likeness’ in that order. No matter the style or ability we all should enjoy what we do! I like your Spencer Tracy drawing it shows the inner man which no photo can do! :)

Thanks brainfree I like the ballet dancers too. I am working on getting better likenesses and I think my structure could improve and also my handling of the hair. I am not patient and I can only devote about an hour at a drawing then I tend to get sloppy. So I do draw these in segments. Sometimes I go back and see the mistakes later. But I love doing this and it is mainly an outlet. I do ask a minimal fee so I can buy new art materials occasionally.
