Thanks a lot. I drew it from a video cover called Raising Hell which was Bruce Dickinsons last performance with them before he left. I'm glad he came back though.
I liked the x factor album and I also liked the first 2 with Paul D'anno but you cant beat Bruce. I used to love drawing eddie but not done one for years. I like your James Hetfield pic.
You didn't screw it up and anyway that is all part of learning, just try and see where you went wrong and try and improve on that next time. I'm still learning things myself. I didnt like the hair on my first Angelina Jolie pic so I just tried to improve it on the next one.
Very good, very detailed I'm a Fan of music but not a great Fan of Iron M but I am a great Fan of Art and to this end would you mind if I offered a little advise I to have drawn for years 50 or so and I spent 40 of them drawing which there was nothing wrong with it taught me how to drawn well. What my advise is there's a huge world of colour out there imagine your work again in colour there are many different mediums Oil, acrylic, watercolour or coloured pencils I'm a great fan of black and white and paint many sketches but now I very seldom pick up a pencil.
Thank you . I would like to try colour but unfortunately i'm colour blind so find it quite difficult. I've always fancied painting but I wouldn't be able to mix paints as I wouldn't know what colour I am making.
Thank you, OK try tonal mixes, have someone set out a palette for you before starting, Say blues or reds this will be only the same as shading dark to light. I think the result would be very interesting. I myself had up until six months ago had cataracts on both eyes, this was a problem for many years and then I had one removed and I am waiting for the other. Before that I would work with my nose two inches from the paper! that is why I started drawing and painting very close up's. So where there's a will and all that! have ago so long as you can distinguish between two shades, there you should have no problem. I'll do a Iron maiden Colour painting in my style and you can have a look. Everyone thinks they can do better. My motto is nothing is impossible. I can, I will and it will be fun. Brian ( brianfree)
I should give it a try sometime. I do srugle with shades though and think I find blues the worst, I even get purple and dark blue mixed up! I bet everything looks really clear once you have those cataracts removed. Looking forward to seeing you do an Iron Maiden painting
I've done a portrait of Steve Harris for you. I've given your small problem a thought or two and I think it's acase of you know best I can encourage you but COLOUR is wonderful I just wanted you to join in I personally would be interested to see a limitted palette paint I do many one colour paints I've done one good one of Brad Pitt it's orange through to yellow have a look and see what you think perhaps a tonal work and not a complete colur mix. The Irom maidain will take a litle longer because you've given me an idea and I will bin my first attempt to do a One or two colour mix.
Nice work on Steve Harris, looks just like him. I'll try and give colour a go sometime. At the moment Im working on a couple of drawings but dont have a lot of time because of work.
