First, I apologise for the negative before I continue. In all forms of drawing and painting the balance between background and foreground is important. To dark it makes the subject look to washed out. Coloured pencil black should have been back grounded by black 4b graphite pencil or soft black graphite block. The black above the hair should have been cropped. Sorry for my comments, The good bit, an excellent likeness and a Very good drawing.
Thank you for your comment. You don't need to apologise. You are right, I knew that something was wrong, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Thanks for the advice (and sorry for my bad grammar )
