An exceptional work. May be I am the only person in the site that saw the first sketch of the work! The color (sepia brown) is a great choice. Recently I saw his Lolita again, but my favorite among his films is (Odd man out) from carol Reed.             :hi: :hi:

thanks Shahin...you are the only one to have seen the drawing at that stage...I think it came out better with color added :hi:

John you created another beautiful work of art. The use of color adds more depth and makes the whole piece fascinating. I love it.

I am not great. Just an artist who loves art and appreciates the work of colleagues. :)

 jpoulos2561 - 01/06/08, 02:19 reply
Well, all right then. But, in fact, I have been very impressed by your use of subtle color to animate several of your otherwise somewhat monochromatic pieces...with powerful results! :ok: :ok: :hi:

Thank you very much John. I really appreciate your feedback. I like adding a touch of color somewhere in the painting which makes the piece somewhat more interesting. :)

All your stuff is great anyway EDee but you occasionally use that color restraint as one of your trademarks. I love it...it's very strong.

Thanks John. I really feel honored. I see so much talent on this site that I am always amazed when someone likes what I do! :)

Excellent, a very good look, nice depth of tone, also the facial tone is excellent. Great light across the painting, a great actor, but more important to me, a great drawing!
