Oh wow! I could be commenting on all your amazing new artwork (new to my eyes) but then I'd be busy all night!! I picked this one cause I love painting her too. You've really done her justice. Wonderful job! Especially her expression and her mouth. Just love it!

Thank you, I’m happy you like my way of seeing her, I think the light falling across her face made it that I didn't have to paint it to heavy. The little touches of light falling on the hair on the dark side and through hair on light side are all techniques that I have being waiting to use. On this one I kept away from over painting the eyes. Equally I didn't want the lips to look to dark so when getting them to this stage I just left them alone.

Merci, tous les médias d'art ont leur bon et mauvais, le crayon, les pastels et la peinture. Je les ai essayés tous et ai appris beaucoup de techniques. C'était un peu d'une croix plus de que j'ai suivi des principes en pastel de base d'un contact léger.

Thank you, well! 50 years of practice of drawing and painting. Many ones that look rubbish, an eye for the look ( being able to spot what makes a good painting) Being able to no when to stop painting and working on looking at things spoting likeness things. Most of all on this site knowing what people like I paint things for myself and things for the site. The long answer.

Thank you, Yes, 100% watercolour perhaps a little acrylic and Gouache paint. Also a little contrast when scanning. I only paint in watercolour and also I sketch in watercolour with a brush.

You should give it ago start small and build up, first draw with watercolour pencils then wet them and watch them move, it can be very exciting even after years of doing it.

Thank you, all tricks of light it was a challenge to get the light right. Something I am obessed with, I would rather do 1 dark one with light on it, than 100 clear phot like ones. athough this seems to be a light and colourful one itwas that this that was the challenge.
