Very good, Vincent a mad colour master at the end of his life. Self taught worked very hard at drawing and they are outstanding his early painting are incredible for detail, but from his Belgium peasants seated around a table the Van Goch style started it, was the burst of colour and the use of strong yellow that made him a genius but as mad as a box of snakes. We all have a Vincent in us, he let it out of the box most people keep it under control. Brian
Practice is the best art class, I had to do a little research the other day for a art lecture I was going to give (Nothing immense just to Scouts) so I found out how many portrait painters had been to art school and how many were self taught of all painters portrait and landscapers 80% self taught and 89% of all portrait painters. Why! well the nearest thing I can find out is it is all about taste and seeing what we want to see sometime called likeness. Likeness is a gift or talent, difficult to learn by it improves with practice. I pride myself on my likenesses, but I have spent years developing it, so it is possible. I have both ears and I hope I'm completely sane all though I am a bit eccentric. Brian.

Very well, I congratulate you good work, the colors very well achieved and a very own style, a good example for us.

I have always admired Vincent Van Gogh! Bravo!

I like to think I'm self taught myself as well, I've only had 3 art classes in my life. Although I don't think I'll ever chop my ear off.
