Beckett had striking face and eyes. I tried to reflect them in my work! :hi:

very very unique and amazing style.... specially the eyes... so impressive ... stunning Shahin..

I leaved it unfinished so it seems he is welded to the background.

I love this one...from your bookcover as I recall...Bullock and HB Carter and Eddie are fine too, but, I love this one of one of the great writers of all time

 shahin - 16/08/08, 05:55 reply
Yes, he showed us grotesque aspects of modern world. I think visual fascination of this work is due to tight connection between face and the background. As if he appears from a flat surrounding and stares at us with his sharp eyes! :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 16/08/08, 16:24 reply
with sharp eyes indeed...he seems to emerge from (or be swallowed by) a surrounding sea...  :hammer:

 shahin - 16/08/08, 18:22 reply
So he will not have enough time to find Goudo(if I don’t make mistake in spelling)! :D  :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 16/08/08, 21:05 reply
Close enough. Don't so many of us spend too long "waiting for Godot?" And on the other subject, I hope you can see the beautiful pictires of Persepolis. :oO:

 shahin - 17/08/08, 05:54 reply
Persepolis is a subject of inspiration for Iranian intellectuals. We use its architectural elements and also we use imitation of its relief and statues for decoration. Nowadays they are very popular!

While most of the others are smoothly gorgeous, this one is in a league of its own. Great textures and a really good decision to have the vignette approach.

 shahin - 05/10/08, 07:28 reply
He was exceptional so I prepared a special portrait for him! Thanks for your nice comment.

Recently I read a collection of his letters is published! If I was famous as Norman Rockwell, this work probably was on the book cover! :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:  :hi:
