A stunning portrait, fabulous contrast between light and shade    :whip: :whip:

 brainfree - 29/08/08, 10:21 reply
Thank you, contrast that is my aim for all my work. Paint dull and the piece will be dull, paint with the same dull colours and use their contrast between them white, black, purple and blue. You make them put the emphasis on their contrast whether done with dull colours or like my Brad Pitt (yellow) with bright primary colours. Thank you for spotting my aim its very pleasing for me to have the craft commented on and not the personality, although I do enjoy painting things people like. Of course all of this is un-attainable with out the elusive likeness. Sometimes I can paint a perfect likeness, but without that inner spark of life it becomes sad and boring. Sorry, I’ve rambled on my answers a bit boring now. :) :8)

Great reply Brianfree - we all try to find that elusive inner spark of life. Some find it more often than others
