Wow, this is so beautiful. The way you've done the shading in different tones of blue is stunning. A totally different color and it's still obvious that his skincolor is dark. The sunglasses are beautiful. It's like they reflect a bloody scene in front of him!   :whip: :whip: :whip:  :blowkiss:

Thank you, first it is an iconic poster of the film ‘Blade Trinity’ admitted I have changed the perspective and view, but it is still a pastiche of the original which was also blue, but the glasses were different,. I have also changed the crowd and colour as I think the blood red suits it more. :) :8)

GLASSES First use masking tape to tape of areas remaining white, I use tape as it is easier to remove than fluid. The technique is first I paint the pupil of eye and the background area with Acrylic black (or whatever colour you want) then waited for it to dry. Then using Acrylic use up on black areas. Next, I watercolour the Iris or lens colour in and wet washed . Also you can use gouache W/C paint as you can see through it. Lastly, Remove tape and blend in on all the joining spots.  Remember Acrylic paint only causes problems, because it dries so quickly which is a bonus and a problem as all the brushes must be cleaned after use and palettes also I wash out water containers.  I use Acrylic paint to do facial shape washes before starting,  very diluted so they just stain lightly. I've shorten it just lift it off. :8)

Thank you, The three things I have gone on about since starting are: My favourite painter is Frenchman Edgar Degas. he said 'art is not what you see, but what you make others see'! and to me art is about originality, technique and likeness and this is attained by the hard work of practice, perseverance and patience. :8)

OK enough talk! lets see a bit of a challenge, say a colour pencil drawing or painting. I would be itnterested in you pushing yourself like ' you do' you say you admire the words, well lets have ago. No matter what it ends up like it can be no worst than my yearly works. :8) :-?

Thank you, an Iconic piece, but with my twist. Mono colour pieces are good, but the Red glasses give impact and look good. :8)
