Keep working at joining your work. I do that as well. I like to work 11x14 and as you go along you will get better at intagrating them. I use create a photo merge then I work to blend and join them I think I am getting better at doing that. Always something to learn with the computer!!!!
That is exactly what I do. I always look at my original and try my best to get the contrast and the final print as close to the original as possible. I have a hp three in one scanner I keep it at 300 dpi that seems to work pretty well but I am still learning!!
