Thank you, it is about 305 X 229mm it's bigger all round than the A4 I normally work on, I have about 40 sheets of thick large size watercolour paper. The only problem with it for protraits is it has a very heavy grain 300g/ms and it difficult to flatten. I think it worked it's difficult to know I'll do another on from Sin City and see.
Thank you, it has taken about 3 days it is in part Acrylic but not digital, acrylic because, I didn't want the black to move when I applied the White. It's completely from my head! admitted I like and watch Sin City quite a lot because I like the art work. All mine original no photo for the pose first just study the person and then the gun and put the two together first in my head then onto the paper, this time I used a watercolour black pencil to lay-out.
OK, although I have nothing against Digital painting, I don't like my work being called digital as if it was, I have no problem in calling it Digital or Mixed media. I have worked for many years perfecting my watercolour painting technique and I am hoping to get better and better, so I'm a bit touchy over the words. I think you meant REAL which is OK for me.
take it as a compliment brain....that your work is so perfect that wecant belive is it real or picture... i was really amazed to see the effect you gave on check bone and forehead....
i sorry if that hurt u..
Thank you, as you will know the problem of making black scan BLACK with watercolour is a problem we have to face. I have a near perfect solution, I nearly complete the painting then Arcylic black all the black areas twice, this seems to work! but I still have to turn down the brillance on the scanner, this tends to make a lot of detail work not very good.
