I like the effect on the left it looks intended it add interest to the piece. I had an art teacher who used to say the true artist is one who takes the mistakes and makes them disapear!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Yes a big clanger dorpped, when doing the skin tone, I accidentally over watered before applying the colour, if you don't mop it up and recolour drying as you go it goes even worst, as I had done the right hand side quite nice I didn't want to waste the whole painting, so later I dried it with an iron and repainted very carefully. I liked your watercolours of animals for youngsters funny enough, I've painted about fourty for my wifes sunday school. I'm planning a very large rainbow for them now. Also a pull down paintings on roller blinds. Noah ark etc.
Thank you, I'm in the process of painting a very difficult portrait of him and I've had a bit of a problem it's very dramatic but not beautiful. and I can't get it right.
Thank you, for me originality, technique and likeness and this is attained by the hard work of practice, perseverance and patience. That's the serious bit, but most important is to learn while enjoying yourself, never say I can't! always have fun and enjoyment. I love painting and paint many request from others on the site. I like to give an old photo a new twist or show say a singer in a new way. Art is wonderful we can paint or draw anything we want to from anywhere, only wish and it can be there. I like your drawings, I've already left a comment, ask if you want to know a technique or skill. I have drawn as well as painted in Watercolour, Acrylic and Oils. I'm an old man but if I can help you I will. Sometimes I go a bit overboard with advise, but I promise I won't write so many words again.
