The forehead is a little too narrow, compared to the rest of the face Great colours! :)

:ok:      :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:   :hi:

Hello Thommie. I find your galery very interesting. You say that you have difficulty with your face structure, but it is not necessarily a bad thing: it could remain a part of your style. This is why it is called art.

2tones, thanks for the advice, It's very helpful. I'm going to take some time out during the holidays to practice Proportions and facial structures. You are very good with your portraits. I love the one of Rihanna especially. :hi: :ok:  :) :hi:

However, should your ultimate goal be likedness, that you have to take the time to measure proportions. Draw lines on your model picture and measure exact proportions and distances. It is tedious but absolutly necessary.

 2tones - 01/12/08, 15:42 reply
Lines should be drawn vertically: middle of face, start of ears and tip of ears. Horizontally: top of head, start of hair line, eyebrows, under eyes, bottom of nose, top of lips, bottom of lips and chin.Other artists draw a full grid of half-inch squares but I found that I did not need to. Be patient with all these measurements: it will be worth it. :hi: :cute: :ok:
