Thank you, Well I'm just left with it as you see it I will comple the eyes and blend the shadows more until the skin tone looks right. Because it was a teaching piece I did not concentrate on the likeness. I don't know if that's is a good thing, I might do another to get that right. :8)

Thank you, more to do to the eyes abnd lips also I will improve the hair. It's a part of a teaching step by step. :8)

 ladywhite - 15/12/08, 17:09 reply
yes, the hair is always more difficult to do, but that's a good challenge!!!

 brainfree - 15/12/08, 18:42 reply
I think you can see that I work in the light to dark mode of hair. Also a tip is to load two colours on to the same flat brush, one C on either side and turn as you go down, try to pick the end spots to r eload the brush also twisting it is very interesting. The last time I did this technique on hair, a person commented said I must have cheated. It was so simple, with a great effect. All the difficult bits are simple once learnt. :8)

thank you for your advice!!! :cute: :cute:

That's Ok I can be very boring sometimes, I just love to help when I teach youngsters I purposely make the mad by encouraging them to put their feeling into their work. So i apologies if I am a bit over the top. Also I have a tendancy to ask for people to draw sorry. I'll be a good boy in 2009. Happy Christmas. :8) :blowkiss:

 ladywhite - 22/12/08, 12:11 reply
but that's not boring at all, I can assure you!!! And I"m sure you'll be as nice as in 2008!!!  :blowkiss: :blowkiss: :blowkiss:

thankyou very much for this you teach me more over the internet than my teacher  she never taught me how to use anything she just told me to paint with it. so thankyou very very much!

 brainfree - 15/12/08, 10:14 reply
Thank you, there are more step by steps of mine there's Zhou Xun, which is 6 steps but is more a style piece. Then there's is Al Pacino, Godfather 3 steps which is a simple painting. There are small techniques and skills for other things I can teach have a think and try another portrait and then I will have a look! Try one with out doing a lot use the white paper more as light, look up at this one see how, I've put on colour on the face I allowing you the viewer to see what they want to see. Keep going have another go keep it simple though. Good luck, I will finish this one then Paint a few more. :8)
