Yes I have two grown up men not boys any more. One is a Research Officer and the other a Detective CID policeman. I am very proud of both of them. One lives nearby and the other in London. One is married and the other not. One draws very well and the other talks a good drawing. I love them both dearly. Because we got involved with them in scouting. We currently have 100 Scouts, boys and girls of ages ranging from 6 to 25 who are our my wife a my second family and hundreds of ex scouts, with ages from 25 to 38, who still let us know how they are doing, truly the family of scouting. I think if you can not act like a child then you get old so I play games and still lead by example, Courage, hardwork and never give up. Mind I am a older guy now and suffering from a few illness. :8)

That is great.I was a Boy Scout,proud to say!Sounds like your sons are two exceptional men and i am sure you are very very proud! With your illnesses please have a cup of tea,and take care always! I think I will be a good father because what fun is it too take kife to serious,i want to be somewhat of a child at heart so i can play with my kids and have their unconditional love...maybe we should all follow the Peter pan way of life,ha!ha! :D

Just be like you are with me a good listener or communicator and never treat youngsters a kids always young adults they respond to firmness and rules but never to adult bulling like teachers, many times a youngsters has said to me I don’t want to do that but if I lead and act brave ( I hate height’s) and am first to abseil then they respond and I get the joy of doing something I have not done before. Mind it’s 10 years since I abseiled last But I still Canoe or Kayak not on rapid water but a mill pond. Being a parent is the ability to see what they see would they like a hand with things. One of my ex scouts has Down's syndrome, his name is Paul and he is 32 the other day when I met him I our town he put is arm around me and said to his mother this is my Brian he taught me to play table tennis and he cheats/. I was so choked to fell his fingers press me as he joked with his mother 28 years of scouting many awards I've had nothing to compare with the pressure of that little hand and the happy way he recalled his happy scouting life. Don’t just be a father be a friend. :grin: :8)

They have the patience and hope you have the time. The biggest enmey of a father is the balance of work versus time with your children. Become a painter and stay home with them encourage them to paint the Internet is the way to work start a club or sell art paints of others on commision, there are many ways to make an honest living on the internet. :grin: :8)

Better to show through good example, that your a good man and have time for them. I always say that there's someone for every one, somewhere but not the first person you fall in love with. :8)
