Oh wow Christine! Beautiful,Americana at it's finest here.Shhhh...quiet in the Peanut gallery! I love it! Are you going to do Clarabell and Princess SummerWinterSpringFall?

 Christine - 22/01/09, 19:37 reply
Unfortunatly I can't fine a good picture of Clarabell on Google if you find one e-mail it to me. I don't recall Princess Summer,Winter, Spring Fall? I do however remember the Flub-a-dub!!!

 Christine - 22/01/09, 19:39 reply
Hey Chris I am thinking about doing Moochie with the Chimpanzee. It is a good photo and quite a challenge. Another one to think about is The family affair with Buffy Jody and Mrs Beasley.

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 19:46 reply
Ahhh yes mrs beasley the talking doll right? My mother owns one of those,I am not familiar with Moochie but he sounds interesting!

 Christine - 22/01/09, 19:53 reply
Oh Chris maybe you will remember Mr. French he was their butler. The doll didn't talk I don't think.

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 20:00 reply
Yes,the sad part of that show is the fact that Buffy died of a overdose,Anissa jones I believe.60s family show.

 Christine - 22/01/09, 20:52 reply
I was wondering why she died so young. Jody is still alive. Too bad wonder what went wrong. Oh well I will do a memorial for her then.

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 19:44 reply
My parents raised me on howdy Doody, thats how a twenty some-odd knows,Ha!Ha! Yes i will do that for you right now,and the princess was played by the very pretty Judy tyler, probably better known as Elvises love interest in Jailhouse Rock, she died 3 days after filming that back in 1957 unfortunately, will do on the photos!

 Christine - 22/01/09, 19:56 reply
Oh well your parents did the right thing. You are a splendid young man and I am glad you got to see wholesome and good entertainment as a kid. That helps. My mother died when I was seven years old and these entertainers and T.V. Shows actually gave me my values as an adult. Hope more good moral shows are on the way. Hollywood sometimes gets stuck on the sensational and not the good old American value type shows!!!!!!!!!!!

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 20:03 reply
Thank you very much!I am sorry for your loss, yes the 1950s brought forth a cleaner America, with Lucy,Jackie Gleason, and game shows like Grouchos To Tell The Truth.A fine time for entertainment and you were fortunate to take good values from that era.Today a kid has reality TV wich is far from what truth is,everybody is reaching for 15 minutes and 90% of them have nothing to offer us...the viewers.Sad.

 Christine - 22/01/09, 20:55 reply
I hope things pick up in the T.V. industry as far as morals go. I am liking the new Kyle X.Y. series. I like science fiction so this is very appealing to me. I used to like Star Treck too it has to be the one with Lenard Nemoy and Captain Kirk though don't quite get into the second generation.

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 20:59 reply
I LOVE Get Smart.Leave it To Beaver is good too.

 Christine - 22/01/09, 21:02 reply
I will be looking for those shows and I liked the Nelson family show too.

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 21:05 reply
Yes Ricky Nelson is a legend, one of the true greats! It would be great if you did Rick,David, ozzie and Harriet someday like the way you did Little House.

 Christine - 22/01/09, 21:06 reply
I will keep that in mind Chris!!!

 BeautifulDreamer79 - 22/01/09, 21:09 reply

Aside from the sheer technical excellence, this drawing tells a story--it speaks to you! And amen for popular culture that challenges you,..I have no embarrasment about dipping into the past for inspiration whether it be music, tv or film.

 Christine - 23/01/09, 19:32 reply
Thanks and there will be more old T.V. shows to depict. I am honering the folks who entertained me all my life. Some have passed away but their lasting memories light up the sometimes dark and boring world.

You wouldn't notice but their are a few small flaws where the scanner didn't line up the two scans but I guess that is okay!!!! In the original it is perfectly done.

Wow!!! You've really been busy!!! These are brilliant!!! Very, very well done!

 Christine - 03/03/09, 18:04 reply
Thanks Lisa I have been trying to incorporate more than just portraits. Happy you like the work. It is a little harder to scan these since they are usually 18x24 so it takes about ten scans and lots of patience to blend them together and a little photo shop knowledge to complete them and to try to get them to look more like the original drawings.

 LisaWP - 04/03/09, 09:58 reply
Wow that's very impressive!! I don't know if I'd have the patience, but I've very glad you do!

 Christine - 05/03/09, 13:46 reply
I would love to get a large scale scanner but they run about 5 grand and who has that kind of money anymore. I love to work big.

 LisaWP - 06/03/09, 09:45 reply
Oh man, that's expensive!!!! I can think of far more interesting ways to spend £5k!! Well I'm glad you have the patience to do what you do.

 jpoulos2561 - 21/03/09, 21:51 reply
:D :D This is so great! Circa 1952 !! A Philco TV as big as a piano with a 13" - nearly round screen and about nine lines of resolution! (It was Princess Summer-Fall-Winter-Spring - based on Tiger Lily.) Let's try to get the hip-hop generation to watch this! :D :D :D They'd definitely "pop a cap" in Buffalo Bob and hang Howdy from the rear view of the Hummer ! Way to go Christine!!! :hi: :) :whip: :whip:

 Christine - 22/03/09, 01:43 reply

Thanks always learning new tricks to help with the grafic side of presentation. But the original always is perfectly drawn.
