Please look at the light it's white no paint, so if drawing it the same rules, no shading. How I make it look really alive is the light. it gives depth.

Thank you, painted for Jeanette as she disliked the other, because it was my favourite, a wet one. I can't seem to explain that some I paint for the viewer and the wet one for my fun. :8)

 Christine - 29/01/09, 20:54 reply
I think it is quite inspired and that is what makes it an excellent portrait. The pose adds to the drama with the hand accentuating his face and helping with the over all negative space making it completely designed and interesting you are the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 brainfree - 29/01/09, 20:56 reply
I did not take the original photo, I altered it a little for artistic reasons but not my pose. :8)

School it's the most important thing today. Try to have fun learning it will make your school days fun and then in life you will enjoyed exams I do I love to be tested it is an oppertunity to show off. Nothing is better than showing how good you are at any subject put me on a lecture stage and I could talk about any thing for hours trying all the time not to be boring. Have fun. :8) :ok: :ok: :hi: :D :D  ;) :8)

yes, you're right.. but our teachers are strictly.... but i try to have fun in the new semester   :blowkiss: :blowkiss:

 brainfree - 30/01/09, 13:19 reply
If you do art, in a reasonable class of equals say about four in a team, then all decide on a painting or drawing the first person decides on who, then starts to draw, it the second adds colours, third the next stage and the last the finish . Pass this around so everyone gets a starts with and all the people. Place a time limit at the end you should have four drawing or painting. Then fight over who gets what at the end. The time limit can be 5minutes to whatever you want. It sounds hectic and crazy, but it works and can be surprising, ranging from great to rubbish. If done a few times it will get better, I love it, when I do it with say three 10year olds as when it come to my turn they love watching me struggle, as their minds are wired different to mine, its very good it teaches you about you. :8)

 Ronja - 30/01/09, 20:41 reply
cool  the problem is only, in my hole class it doesn't have one, who can draw... :/ and my famlily isn't better than my class :( there's only one person, but i don't like her, she's a little bit stupid 8-) are you an art teacher? :) :blowkiss:

 brainfree - 30/01/09, 22:09 reply
Nearly right I'm a youth worker and I'm sure you can find one person to do the game with. Remember it's not about drawing or painting but YOU! :8)

Thank you, I wish I was your age again, with the courage to join this website and be such a contributing artist. At your age I was so unconfident even though your drawing and mine are very similar, I drew pirates and cowboys then superheroes and cartoons as then I was not able to get any other photos of stars but it made me look and think. Mainly of how and what to paint. Keep going You will be famous one day I promise. :8)

Yes, I agree, but in Britain we had a leader (Tony Blair ) that we thought was god Bt he only lead us down a one way alley having to settle for a Country that was open to everybody giving our jobs away to Europe now after being the success of Europe they hate us. We have only the relationship between USA and us to fall back on Europe hates us but loves the work we give then. Ordinary people are upset here because nobody wants to vote for the Tories after 18 years of frailer and Labour is not representing us any more in my part of Wales we hate Gordon Brown and vote for an Independent. If Barrack stood here he would get in, as the British people feel let down and up represented. I was very political in my youth but now what's the use. :8)

 Thommie - 04/02/09, 04:04 reply
Maybe one day we will get a politician who keeps his promises and is honest with the people in his country. Sometimes politics is all about money or the highest bidder. and at the end we the little people gets it bad. our economy is mess up badly because of misuse of money so we are suffering layoffs and losing our jobs. I hope one day we will get a leader who care about the little people. :hi: :) :ok: :hi:

 brainfree - 04/02/09, 08:55 reply
I agree, watch the verbal attacks on your new President after the honeymoon period has passed. We fight wars in the world instead of looking after our own people. I hope Barack will be as good as he looks in 3 years as I want someone who lives up to early billing. We in Britain have not one leader who is any good. :8)

 Thommie - 07/02/09, 13:39 reply
don't worry they have already started the verbal attacks on him. A lot of people wants him to fail. and thats sad. :/ :(:'D  :hi:

Thank you, whether paint or pastel, it's all drawing skill I have used pastel in the past for about ten years it teaches good tonal work. The main method is practice and patience. I belive only in hard work and God given talent. :8) At the moment I'm only painting a small amount as I am mourning the death of my father. When I feel a little better (mentally) I will get back up to speed. :) :( :8)

Thank you, I love your Anne H on your gallery. Barrack was just a bit of fun for me I also painted the others all of them some I posted some I saved. I like your system of goverment it's excellent you get the chance to dump the rubbish as well as promote the good stuff. Be honest George was nearly as bad as it comes but after a negative comes a person like Barack, Mr Positive. I hope he's not like Tony Blair a big Man of HOT AIR. Brian. :8)
