that's Clarence indeed... :ok: I did the piece while waiting for the Superbowl and the Springsteen halftime 12 minute slot... and, although it was a perfect choice, I couldn't believe he had the cajones to sing "Glory Days" :D :D :D thanks for your comment :) :hi:

Excellent portrait of the BOSS!! Bravo John!! He gave a great Halftime Show last night at the Super Bowl!! Sorry that your team didn't win, I was rooting for the Cardinals because of you! :blowkiss: :blowkiss:   :hi: :hi: :whip: :whip: :whip:   :cute:

John, I wish Bruce Springsteen would have sung Born in the U.S.A. I met him when I worked for CBS Records. We saw the greatest concerts and it was free for the employees!! :blowkiss: :blowkiss:   :hi: :cute:

 jpoulos2561 - 03/02/09, 00:49 reply
I certainly expected Born in the USA to be his closer. That's what made Glory Days such a brilliant choice. Sports theme... change baseball to football..."speedball" to "Hail Mary" What did you do for CBS? :*D:

 Jeanette - 03/02/09, 15:37 reply
John, I was the Personnel Administrator and had to welcome the Artists. I got to meet many singers such as Bruce Springteen, Sting with his group Police, Julio Iglesias, Roberto Carlos from Brazil, Gloria Estefan etc.. We went to many concerts and saw the Victory Tour with a normal Michael Jackson. We got free records. It was the best job I've ever had.. :blowkiss: :blowkiss:  :hi: :cute:

 jpoulos2561 - 03/02/09, 16:03 reply
Cool! I'll bet that WAS fun! I once shot a commercial in the Iglesias home in Miami, he wasn't home but his children (I guess Enrique - age 6 or so - was among them) and their governess watched from the wings. I met a few notables over the years and it was k i n d a fun...but they always made me tense because there was generally a lot riding on the activity and they are SOOOO high maintenance! Thank goodness I could never afford a superstar like Michael or Bruce! A-n-y-w-a-y...thanks for sharing. :D :blowkiss:

 Jeanette - 03/02/09, 22:20 reply
All of the artists were really pleasant except for Mr. Julio Iglesias who is very CONCEITED! He believes his own publicity! His son Enrique, the singer is more down to earth and grounded. Speaks perfect English too. Julio still has trouble speaking English. It was an interesting experience, a great job and I enjoyed it I learned so much about show business. Thanks for your friendship, John. :blowkiss: :blowkiss:   :hi: :hi:

 jpoulos2561 - 04/02/09, 00:37 reply
Interesting...he had the house to go with it. The patio was 200' long and marble from the back door to the teak pier. Glad he wasn't home. In my experience, most stars, as you say are cordial but a few tip the scales by being utter jerks. It usually depends on what they're being asked to do and how much they're making. :D That's really pretty universal. :ok:And...how nice of you to say so! Thanks in return Jeanette. :blowkiss: :) :hi:

:hi: :) thanks Jeanette! I just didn't want the Steelers to have more Lombardy Trophies than the Cowboys and the 49ers :D :blowkiss: :blowkiss:

 jpoulos2561 - 03/02/09, 17:07 reply
I guess our friends here would argue for Paris and London et al...but if you're right next door to "The City," you certainly don't need no stinking Chicago, San Fran or anywhere else! :D :D :blowkiss:

I've heard London is dirtyand over croweded. And the peeps who live there don't give you the tiem og day. I would love to go to SF. I hear it is lovely. True, very true. :blowkiss:

You're practically immortal already... :whip: :whip:   but... it could be more difficult even in the year 2525 (sing it with me now) ...already, I have trouble getting excited about The Jonas Brothers, The Olsen Twins, Lil Wayne and... oh... f'rinstance...remakes of Bonnie & Clyde starring Hillary Duff! :D Man! That was a wicked exchange!! Yesterday, I think... Dunaway, looking like Agamemnon's mother, said: "At least they could have cast a real actress." And Duff rejoined: "If I looked like that, I'd be pissed too." :D :D
