Very good, It would have been excellent if it had been paint. There's no reason why it can't be paint apart from your own self. You now know the outline the colours and tones. Please don't get hooked on the digital format it's great as a teaching aid but you need to learn about all mediums of painting. Of course I always push watercolour but I have painted with every thing from W/c , Acrylic to oil., I have used pastels, crayons and chalk. They are all great and have their own pro’s and con’s.
I agree with you, I recently bought oil paint. I search a model to be painting, maybe this one, to make a triptych (pencil, digital format, oil paint).
