Very good! I looked first at the close-up horizontal posted earlier and liked it very much. Then I looked at this one and for a first impression I was disappointed to see the shiny gold ink.
"Too decorative. Too Beardsley. Too Gustav Klimt." my classical sensibilities intoned. Then after a moment, I thought, "What's wrong with Klimt?" Scarcely 60 seconds in and I liked it. An instant later, I forgot all that silly ^$&!#^ and now I think it's wonderful! :
clap: Great drawing! Great dress! Very tasty use of your new shiny gold ink!
I guess I could have just said, "Excellent!"
thanks a lot. I wasn't 100% sure about the gold in the beginning, but the picture looked kind of naked without it, too technical, maybe. So, you'll be horrified to hear that first I looked up some decoratifs by Alfonse Mucha and other Art Nouveau artist But then I thought they wouldn't fit in, and now I can proudly present a persian deco as presented by agilerabbit.com I'm never gonna draw a dress like that ever again!! (until my next seizure of craziness). I'm glad you took the time to look at it until you liked it
The gold accent is very well chosen and applied. I once assayed (heavy emphasis on the "ass") a pencil drawing of Mick Jagger...in a tuxedo shirt...backlit, transparent, and wet with sweat...I definitely had a "never again" mantra going on!
well, it happens to me too ...then I put it off and start something new, but the happiest moment is when I come back and finish that portrait You made it perfectly also with the golden design
