Thank you, I love your watercolour of Gad also the pastel version is excellent. I'm happy to see you painting more watercolour as both you a shalin are great artist. This work is my calling card to an art class I'm attending for 2 months that is why I'm having a short break from painting smaller work so although I will still come back and make comments after the next ten portraits I'm finishing I wanted to finish on the Bond Series as I love the Books and Films so much. Brian. :8)

Thank you, I'm attending an art class on a Thursday this was my first effort there so I kept it simple and just did the techniques I had learnt. Every body there were landscape artist all very good. I'm glad my little effort did not let our club down. I'm attending to improve and learn new things about landscape. I am going to have a little rest from painting for the side as the size of the paper is to small I want to do more work on A3 and above so for two months or the 1st of May I will not be putting any work on but I will be back a couple of times a week for a few comments or a chat. Your Friend and fellow portrait artist Brian (brainfree)  ;) :8) :blowkiss:

You did this for the Thursday group?? What did they think about it?

 brainfree - 12/03/09, 18:00 reply
Thank you, Yes I did it for them in one night they liked it. I just done a Bond girl called Carole Bouquet she was in 'For your eyes only' I drew it this afternoon and I've done a little of ther colout blocking. Also I have an Ironman portrait drawn and another drawn and started for 'Appaloosa' the film cowboy I will probably finish one tonight. The stuff I'm taking is incredable. I'm looking forward to tommorrow night when I'm teaching about 10 youngsters and I'm going to do something about the Red Nose Day it's a British Thing ever year where they raise money for charity. :8)

 TokioHotel_sigrid - 13/03/09, 19:57 reply
Ok, fun! Do you have to get a reed nose or...:'D Why that name?

 brainfree - 14/03/09, 01:07 reply
It's because clowns wear red noses, so it was taken by the comic relif comedians for their logo. :8)

 TokioHotel_sigrid - 14/03/09, 08:07 reply
Aha!! :D

 brainfree - 14/03/09, 09:49 reply
I've turned on the TV and found out that all the fundraising throughout Britain has raised almost 58 million pounds for comic relif. This money will go to help babies in Africa and Women in Britain for the help against Domestic Vilolence. British people are always willing to help others. To give you and Idea our school children raise money doing supid things like telling jokes all day or dressing up and their teacher dress up and wear the red noses and have lessons on jokes and clowning then when you go in a shop the people there will all be dressed up as clowns or famous comedians I went in one shop and they were all Charlie Chapins ever where all ages on people will shake a bucket at you, at football matches, West End shows, Pubs, Supermarkets waliking down the streets it's a day in the spring where everybody has fun and does it raising money for others abroad and in the UK. We all give because we are lucky to have the things we have. Brian. :8)  :D :D   :8)

 TokioHotel_sigrid - 14/03/09, 09:55 reply
It seems very fun and to know that so many of you does it, it's wonderful! Sweden should have a fun-day... We have many things... but not that. ;) :)

 brainfree - 14/03/09, 10:14 reply
It started with a lot of comedians on TV and then young people, then Us old people. It has grown and grown, very good considering people in the Uk a always moaning about things. :8)

 TokioHotel_sigrid - 15/03/09, 08:30 reply
Yeah, I get it.. I think we are well off and when you see such horrible things on TV you almost just wanna turn off the TV again but it doesn't help anyone. But my family gives money to "Save the children" and "Unicef" every month so.. I help a little anyway..  :)

 brainfree - 15/03/09, 09:35 reply
I think it's not giving money that is the point although it helps it's the taking part or raising the money by telling jokes or doing something stupid that makes the feeling of well being it the people doing the things. Since starting the youngsters and older people can have a contact a purpose and enjoy being together something that Britain had strayed away from Community help. More for the donors than the Charities. A saying here is 'it's more for the taking part' I know of a 6 year old who we made a fuss off because he swept his grand mothers path. :8)

 TokioHotel_sigrid - 16/03/09, 07:42 reply
Haha, I want the Red Nose Day in SWE!!!! :ok:  ;) :xp:

 brainfree - 16/03/09, 09:32 reply
Yes it is wonderful, in Britain we have many different people doing good works. Write to a comedian and suggest it. :8) Don't let those Brits have all the fun.

It will take a little time as I'm not up and running yet next week I will concentrate on it. I'm busy this week setting up carers for my aged father (86) he has been poorly and we are having to devoted a little time for him so I will be a bit busy, but that's life and people getting older. So I promise to paint it but a little delay. :8)

 brainfree - 30/03/09, 18:39 reply
Yes I do remember you, I did not stop I went on to paint up to 1020 but culled the poor and not very good until come down to 1003 I will be putting work back on after may 1st as I'm having a rest from smaller work also I'm attending and art class and painting flowers and large work of A2. Also I'm having fun teaching on Fridays Until Easter. I have had great interest and some excellent students all have have fun. So Thanks for the comment Funny enough, I painted this in my first art class. Brian. :) :8)

 n_2105 - 02/04/09, 12:35 reply
A2 it's 50x 70cm? right well... great I work lately on that sizes I event draw a Mathias in A2 ( already post it ). Great I would like to come to your lessons it's nice when you have fun teaching we don't have at school but I like drawing- painting too much to give up :) :hi:

 brainfree - 02/04/09, 13:00 reply
A2 is Imperial size sorry I always talk about imperial, it's because I was brought up on it, the size is 59.4 X 42cm. I like your portrait of Mathias, it looks like your best work, I have great respect for art teachers, my youth class are just ten, but in the school near by twenty to thirty is the normal thing, I would not know where to start. Because we are a small number the fun is easy, one to one. Also I teach for 2 hours, the school teaches for 1 hour I could not even get the equipment out, in an 1 hour. My advise is to find four friends and start a club or group, then when formed invite people to talk to you and draw them. Policemen, Nurses, Doctors and Any body willing. Then ask an amatuer painter to come along and share work and have fun tasks. Like homework. You wiill find it strange at first I don't know any of the people in my adult class we talk as though we have know each other all our lives, and are friends. Fun , Enjoy, soak up life.  :8)

 n_2105 - 03/04/09, 17:20 reply
we are usually 15 in a class and have like 4 hours. I agree in one hour you can barelly make sketch :/ thank you for the advice :whip:
