Merci, de votre appui au cours de la dernière année, je peindra en arrière faire les peintures A4 pour la galerie sur ęr le mai. J'ai un peu de repos et également les problèmes de famille signifient I won' ; t ont l'heure de maintenir mes nombres occupés de peinture. Ainsi jusqu'à ce que j'aie plus de temps et moins pour faire avec d'autres projets, c'est durent maintenant ! Je regarderai dedans et formuler des commentaires, de temps en temps ainsi je won' ; t oublient tous mes amis sur des portraits d'étoiles.

I really like this one...it literally glows in the dark. Have a lovely respite and good luck with your landscapes.

Thank you, light is what I love to show or even dark, in some cases, it is the hook I have been caught on. I'm having a wonderful rest still painting, I've painted 2 A2 size works and painted 4 paintings of flowers, I would never paint flowers normally. All for the class - club I've joined. Last week I drew for two hours, something I have not done for 20 years, wonderful. In the art classes I've held, for youngsters I have had to hold extra meetings, as they are so keen to learn, I thought they would be bored but their like sponges soaking up the information. One child after one lesson, could paint really well, when I asked if she painted in school, she said her teacher said your no good and ignored me and I find her the best in class. I will call a she her teacher as I know her, I have great respect for teachers who have very large classes but not for poor teaching. A young artists from 2 years ago now is going to art school this year, she constantly drew cartoons. Brian

One question Brian are you getting the twinkle in the eye by using mastic or are you using white paint?? just wondering this is always a mystery to me your colors are impeckable dear friend hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you, It's acrylic brilliant white, but first you must draw a imaginary large circle around the eye and work the tone from the outside in, start dark then used white and lighter colours around the eye. Balanced the colours I have learnt this sometimes they look good like this one sometimes they look contrived and false. I have 6 whites and 6 blacks all of different cost, sometimes the cheapest is best. Orange is a great colour to scan it glows I have 4 all but one glows, Yellows 5 lemon, powered yellow, half yellow, pale yellow also buttercup and the start of 5 yellow ochre's I have two brilliant whites that side by side seem one cream and one Sharpe white. Colour is a trick of the eye I have used white chalk and watercolour pencil. Blacks are made blacker by the coat first a Payne's grey then a w/c black then acrylic non shine then w/c black again. And if it looks right shinny black acrylic. Wonderful colour, women are about drawing, men are about equipment.

Yes doing well I'm almost ready to return just a few more weeks. All my family problems are over just enjoying the rest.

All your work Brian is outstanding I can only hope to attain the level you have though persistance. God bless you I will be asking you more about color in the future you are a master with it. Even though I use colored pencil with the lighter fluid making it like paint it is good to know the tricks you have become so profoundly adept at. It all makes sense and it may help me to become better at my color work. Thanks keep up the most excellent water color I have ever seen!!!!!
