Excellent drawing, great subject, although your drawing has great skill, you must be photographing them, as the flash tends to take out the white light and make them look darker. Scans are a perfect reproduction. Presentation imagine a great master wanting you to look through a dirty window at say the Mona Lisa wher the colour would look dark.: :8)

Thank you for the comment, its much appreciated. You are correct, do use a camara for the image, all my portraits are A3 size and unfortunately only got a A4 scanner. I do agree with you with the effect on the contrast, scans are the perfect image :whip: :whip: :whip:

Just a tip for A2 or A3 use a table lamp to light them and switch of the the flash. It will give true justice to your excellent work. I am at present having a short break fro doing A4 work I have painted over a 1000 in one year so I have gone back to A3 and A2 paintings. I will return on the 1st May, so I will to have to complely solve the Camers problem, it is do-able My son a photographer says so, with simple things like a mirror and a table lamp. :8)

Well the positive side of being retired and unwell, is that I have plenty of time, to pursue Art not in a money way, but for it's making me better as an artist, rather than how much it can be worth. I have learnt that the viewer is never wrong if people like it we should trust them. Why I have had a rest is to pursue different things large paintings, other subjects, although I'm crackers on portraits and even now I'm still doing the same numbers. :8)
