Good, idea very good likeness, Hmmm don't worry as your skills improve likeness will get better. try looking at the photo just behind the sketch. Don't draw looking down put drawing on a pad and bach board say a kitch chpping board. then place board in 45 degree angle to your eye. Done by tilting on say a book. theis will mean you can place the photo behind the drawing and look then just past your drawing to the photo. Sound complicated but very simple. In your drawing you show a very good shading technique, both hair and stubble are great, try not to shade the whole face as it tends to take out the light. You have a talent and should be very happy sorry to be negative about the light and photo but presentaton is what it's all about even the great artist had to present their work well.
