Thanks! I'm still experimenting with different color combos. The photo I used as reference for this pic was very vibrant so I could take a chance with coloring lol.

Rodney for the small hair so the outside frindge try using a pin to press them into the paper then lightly go over them with the black and you will see a beautiful outside design it is called imprinting it works especially on animals like dogs and cats too. Much fun doing this try it on a practice sheet!!!!! Don't forget about lighter fluid and a smudge paper stump use the hard kind be ware though it brightens the colors considerably.

I've heard of the imprinting technique but haven't tried it yet. Thanks for the tip.

I can see squares! So i'm not the only one to use them sometimes^^ It's not my fav one but it's good. especially the mouth

yeah, I get lazy about making sure they're erased completely. I always draw people with the grid square method. I can't get a good likeness otherwise.
