Jackie is most famous for his long running classic TV show, "The Honeymooners" which first ran back in the 1950's and 60's. I found this photo to be ironic, since Jackie is known for being so funny? Like a sad clown?
I'm going to do someone with a SMOOTH face next!!! After doing this one and Jerry Stiller this week, I think I developed a twitch! Although the photo I took of this drawing lost about 30% of it's tonal values, contrast and details, this guy's face is busier than Brad Pitt's bedroom on a Saturday night!!!

Thanks Christine! I am going to try charcoal first, so I can do pics like I started last night, and get deep shadows. I was about 2 hours into Jerry Seinfeld and went too dark with 3B, which is like crayon? It went in the shredder. It's rare that I feel that way about a work, but I've been exhausted and thought I'd cut my loses. I do have an un-opened tin of colored pencils I plan to try this summer

When you do start colored pencil use Prisma Colored pencils and use lighter fluid in a small cap with a brush or hard blending stump it makes the colors vibrate and look like oil paint. It is also a better way to do color because it stays put better than paint. It is going to brighten the hues and you can use a stump for each hue. Try it lots of fun. The lighter fluid is a hot solvent and it really liquifies the wax in the pencil so you get a really nice wash. Also there is absolutely no waste the fluid evaporates and used in a good open place (No smoking) then you can still use a matt fixative on the finished work. It keeps the colors radient for ever.

Oh don't use this fluid on the fur or hair you want to keep the grainy soft effect on those surfaces that you with to keep soft!!! You can use soft pastel and oil pastel with it and even watercolor pencils it is a good technique to mix and match with!!! It won't ruin the bristol paper or any other one either.

I was referring to the shredding part, lol. I've had the color pencils calling to me for a while, as well as the charcoal. I want to try charcoal first, then color? I gotta get back on the horse. Seinfeld depressed me last night. I was exhausted and impatient!
