Very beautiful and useful portraits sequence...      :hi:

 brainfree - 05/05/09, 18:26 reply
Thank you, I'm trying to show that how we do portraits is by building one two three a sequence rather than a complete all in one way of doing them. You must like computer work build up layers.  :8)

 Paladino - 05/05/09, 19:50 reply
Yes, for me it's a 1st. lesson on watercolor, which I'll remember at the moment I start in it... Well, I always prefer off-computer art, although I admire so much Shahin's works (he's kind of 'digital Brainfree'... :D)

 brainfree - 08/05/09, 11:11 reply
I to like Shalins work, if we were put on a desert Island I can make a brush from hair and twiggs use my own blood or make colours then paint on a cave wall to amuse you with a computer which I love I waould have a problem building and making electric. all including Shahin started with a brush for me he Shahin paints beautifully but loves his Digital work. Learn with pencil, pastel acrylic then watercolour. FUN Fun fun

This comparison I did with intention of featuring the reference that mean (for me at least) the galleries of both, on different techniques.    :hi:

Thank you, I thought it might go to the tutorial page, but sometimes they do and sometimes not.  :8)

 JRFortson - 05/05/09, 21:52 reply
Yeah it a gr8 idea. I have done some step photos in the past to show my dad the process, but not nearly as many pics as I wuda shuda taken, as I draw mostly at night, and photos don't come out good?

 brainfree - 08/05/09, 10:56 reply
The step between looking at photo's and getting good results, is great I found that repetition of drawing then painting to be difficult but then once a way that suits you is found then the paint over and over makes your inner skill thing take over. Don’t despair if you find it difficult you have talent and you know what they say it always comes out. After all if it was easy then we would not aspire to it. I find I paint from video or DVD some time better being able to stop a look in our minds and reflect later I don’t know if it’s a gift or whether it’s teachable I think teachable because I am improving all the time I look at a face then remember it later. Have fun that's the main thing do your own thing enjoy and practice |I practice even now by painting up to 10 paintings a day I used to put them all on but so many people say it was impossible made me just put up tp three on. Good Luck, Brian  :8)

 JRFortson - 08/05/09, 21:46 reply
Holy crap!!! I'm not THERE yet lol. And 10 a DAY? Sounds like you have a routine!!?? Thanks Brian!!

Thank you, likeness was not the point realy. I find it's difficult to do a tutorial, so that it's easy to follow, because I'm doing it for others to copy and follow.   :8)
