Kinda funny...'cause you had just mentioned The Green Mile. So you're also a gifted clairvoyant?? Seriously, I really appreciate your kind words...this one is sold!
thanx KC I drew Hanks another way that had him looking toward Duncan's point but I needed a figure on each side - it's a commission and the guy likes it 'balanced' - what can I tell ya he's...ah...pointing toward the airborne kidney stones and brain tumors... yeah... that's it.
Already did two poses of Hanks, don't wanna make them smaller or draw Duncan again and I like his point - it was first done with them both on the same side - Hanks behind and to Duncan's left - it looked better but the buyer likes one on one side one on the other don't you just love revisions?
I was looking at the new ''One Show" (ad awards) Book with a colleague back about '99...we came across a spread of ads that had won a big award. I said, "those are nice." She said, "Aenh." I said, "You don't like 'em?" She said, "No, and I did 'em." I said, "Shut up! They're great. Why didn't you have them in your portfolio?" She said, "'Cause they changed the copy." (About 6 words...out of 1000...and none of the headlines) Purists.
With advertising, it's expected to have your designs changed if they don't meet the needs of the client. But changing one's art(meaning art in it's true context) is another.
