I use all kinds of stuff to blend. Tortillans, Blending stumps, foam make-up applicator pads, cotton, q-tips, tissue, nakins, toilet paper, etc, etc...just NOT my finger (oil)
EVERY THING I read says NEVER EVER use your finger because of the oils in your skin. I don't even touch where I'm drawing. If I need to, I cover it with paper to rest my hand

that what i really try and really want in every portrait is to make them look like but i have to get used to count without basics ...means a lot your opinion!!
