Portrait of artist BeautifulDreamer79(United States) Added on May 20, 2009 20:02 Acrylics
Jack Sparrow WIP 6"x9" canvas bag acrylics and markers...I also want to take an opportunity to say yes there is alot of Johnny Depp portraits here...and yes there is lots of Sweeny Todd,Edward Scissorhands portraits too...but for Gods sake I feel that these characters are timeless. So too much of a good thing is not enough...and with the great talent here I always get a blast out of seeing these same said characters revisioned over and over again.^_^
Hi Chris!!! Yes, I did watch it and I think that Tim Burton is a genius! Great movie, great actors, great costumes, makeup and scenery!! and very VERY funny!!!! thanks again!!! ...and now I'm going to comment your kitty!
Great! ..and you are so right Tim is a genuis! Yes haha Your welcome it does my heart good to introduce Tims movies to someone,I am happy to hear you like it so much! okay thank you dear!
Thank you Jeanette.I don't see why their should be a problem if an artist is passionate about certain characters...Lise for example I would have never known who Barbara was if it was'nt for her fantastic gallery.Prettymeryl...the love she has for Meryl Streep is touching. Two great artists...I am starting to rant.hehe...Thank you again Jeanette, your very sweet. I am just trying to say it's not a contest...it's a free oppurtunity to share art period.
And yes, we want to see more and more of them! And it´s not like OMG he´s so sexy or whatever but simply because the guy can act and has done many amazing, quirky and funny roles! Well, he is ofcourse handsome as well but Bob Downey is more my type...
Once again I´m liking very much what you´ve done! I don´t seem to get anything done.
Thank you Suzanne,he really picks the best roles.I cannot think of another makle actor that the women love and the guys want to be like.Oh come on (I know you dont care about Robert Downey) Thank you, thats good though to take a breather..I have been blessed with a week of steady work,it may have to do with Summer coming it inspires me.Cannot wait for Sherlock Holmes and Iron Man 2 BTW speaking of your guy!
I do care... You´re thinking I might be caring about some other Robert based on my portraits here??
Just saw the Sherlock Holmes trailer and I´m pretty excited now!!! He looks handsomely rugged in it!
Yeah, he was! That is just the silliest movie I´ve seen in a while! But speaking of Johnny, I´m very interested in seeing him as the vampire Barnabas Collins in Dark Shadows!
yes!...this is just a rumour but I heard that Paul Ruebens AKA Pee Wee Herman is wanting Johnny to play Pee Wee in his next film.Johnny supposedly told him "I'll think about it"...that would be great!
Thank you Krystal! My conversation with you this morning about markers gave me an idea to combine them with my paint so thanks for the idea!It helped me finish Capt.Jack up a little more quickly.
Yeah, I always start to add the markers toward the end to speed them up a little, and also b/c Im am always running out of black color penciles. How are the shoes coming?
Yes,haha black markers are crucial huh?The shoes are gonna look good(God willingly) because I found this great website called Touched by Twilight and they have alot of screencaps...I am thinking maybe the scene where Edward saves Bella from being smashed ,do you think that would look good on shoes?
Oh thank you!haha...yes thank you my childhood hobby has become my twenties obsession I am afraid to say.I love the acrylics.Bill Nighy is a genuis he really made the computer fabricated look of that character have a real believable feel to him.Definetly.
it's a bit of an absession for me too! My hubbies says I'm OCD! I think he may be right! Nighy is a genius your right there, an I have a bit of a thing for Davey. Also Cheers for telling me to post it. They allowed it an it's up now! So I appreciate you recommending me to do so!
Hey your welcome too, lets work on building him(Bill Nighy) a huge gallery what you say Sally?Haha...lets champion that pirate... and your welcome,I am glad you did it and that they accepted it!it's so damn cool!
Yeah I with you on the Bill thing, I've already got another to add of him from underworld and Love Actually. They're both together in the one portrait. You may have seen it in my gallery at DA. Just have to wait though beause I entered it into to Good Vs Evil contest on there, an I'm not sure if I can post i here yet. So glad that they accepted it to! Thanks to you though!
Very good I to seem to spend an eternity answering comments Chris. I'm sorry that because I've been Ill with an ear infection I have not felt like going on the computer, so I've missed a lot of your recent work, which is wonderful work.
Brian
I am sorry to hear that Brian,I understand some would say and think hear I have become rude but my comments I have to come back to answering all eventually.Thank you very very much I am obsessed with becoming better really thanks!
I think it seems to be working as your work is now so very good I seem to spend time looking for complement words for your work as excellent and wonderful seem not to be enough. So what ever is driving you at the moment, bottle it and send me some.
Thank you very much that is an absolute kind appreciated comment I do thank you...I doubt you need it Brian, your going to keep on wowing all of us with your craft.I have to say too its a sad state of affairs when some"people" cheat they only cheat themselves,I cannot believe what I have seen here in recent days absolute tracing out and out.Sad.
I think I would worry about my own craft, rather than others it's all art. Cheating as you say is cheating against themselves, but over the years many artist of great note cheated for that time when the pencil came in I'm sure it was called a cheat or Johannes Vermeer ( Girl with the pearl earring fame) and his Camera obscurer used to lay down first drawing pre paint. He is now known more for his colour choices not his cheating. I also think the modern art world would be poorer for the loss of both vector art and Digital art. I once heard a person say that a match stick man was the work of a busy mind. So I never blame or criticize others. Just myself and my greatest critic me!
