Where is Namibia??? I am getting a world globe to see where all of my friends on this site are in world perspective. This will be a present to me since my birthday is Aug 7th. I will be 62 years young. Try to stay warm. Our summer is here in the U.S.A. we live in the north eastern time zone and the weather is between 20C and 29 C right now or if you are familiar with degreese it is between 80 F and 90 F we are having a mild summer so far but some parts of the southern U.S. are experiencing high temps.

I shall diarise that my friend ... and you can be assured I shall be thinking about you all day long. Namibia used to be known as South West Africa - and that's exactly where it is. It was a German colony once upon a time. There's a lovely German element here still. It was administered by South Africa after the second world war until it gained its independence in 1990. Like all desert nations it has extreme temperatures - it's either freaking cold or frigging hot.
