TNX!! I did this spontaneously after having seen a lot of coffee paintings done by an artist called Bobsmade. It was really fun to put the colours..erhmm...I mean coffee onto the paper. I think that this technique allows a lot of freedom unlike drawing with pencils. And I always wanted to make a band portrait

die idee mit dem kaffee ist ja genial! sehr innovativ und sieht außerdem noch gut aus! erinnert auch ein bisschen an das cover von live at sin-é. auch weil die struktur von dem papier ein bisschen servietten ähnlich aussieht. jaja, die "café days"...

Danke!! Cool, dass du das Papier mit ner Serviette vergleichst, daran hab ich noch gar nicht gedacht! Jo, fand auch, dass Kaffee auch was mit JB (insbesondere dem Sin-é) zu tun hat. Und ich schätz mal, dass der Matt auf'm Bild auch Kaffee trinkt.

Mick Grondahl: one of the two gurtiarsts that perfrom with Jeff Buckey when he recored "Grace" and was there when he started his secound album. And veryy cute A great drawing. You used coffee to the background colours yes? the classic way to make something look old. Beautiful

I used the coffee for the whole painting and afterwards I did the lines and shades with a marker. Thanks for the compliment! Just one annotation from a Buckley nerd: Mick was the bass player. Michael Tighe the guitarist.

My bad. through i like jeff buckley ive not listen to him for over 2 years - duel to the fact that the 2albums i had one was steal by a friend and 2nd is too scatch to play must buy thoses ablums again

Agreed! but then again i cant really blame him. i saw where he lives and he works late into the night. when i come and vist him he bastically falls asleep on his feet (like a house) the poor guy. anyhow ive reactly d/led all of jeff buckleys albums inculding his live stuff and a some sort of best of. love hearing his music again. ill have a go at a drawing of him as well umm this weekend i think.

Well, poor guy indeed. Great that you have the albums back. I sometimes don't (or can't) listen to his stuff for weeks, then I return back to it and sort of fall in love with it again. I'm looking forward to your portrait! Have a good day!

ok so my portrait is fiished - sorry i took so long but a lot of issues got in the way umm the only thing is its very like your jeff buckley protrait the one with blue sky. so i will certain understand if you dont want me to upload it. compyrights and what not. i didnt copy your picture but i took lyrics at from the song Grace and one thing lead to another and yea it turned out very simular to your style . if you dont want me to upload it i totally understand and will upload something way more simple

Hey! First of all, I really don't mind if you draw something similiar to my pictures or even 'adopt' some of my ideas! I'm not a professional nor do I think that there's any reason for me to take myself so seriously. I liked how you described your drawing and it would be nice to see it! I'm not in the position to tell anyone what to draw and what they shouldn't...lol. Just draw and use whatever you like for your own pictures and if one idea leads to another, the result is usually good...don't interrupt this flow. Aww...it's actually really sweet and thoughtful of you to tell me this. But there is no problem, dear! Looking forward to your pic!

Thank you, its very kind of you. but you know i just had check to make sure you wasnt mad. but i arnt going post it. posting artwork for this website has become a bit of and obesstion for me. and right now i really need to consterate on my school work. ill come back and post my work but right now i need to make sure i have a future to go on with. i'm sorry..

I know what you mean with that kind of obsession It can be very distracting and keep you from doing more important things, such as for school and one's future. That's why I haven't signed up for more personal websites (I only use youtube and this one btw and I think they are enough!) So I totally understand you. I would do the same if I were in your situation.
