Merci. I see you like our Western movies. I remember Jack Elam. You have captured his features on paper.

You are too kind, Anne-Marie. I wouldn't classify this as one of my better portraits, but thank you, anyway.

Thank you, Jeanette. I'm still struggling with eyes in my drawings, and I'm not happy with Tyrone's, but there isn't much I can do to them now, except to try again, sometime..

 Jeanette - 06/08/09, 02:59 reply
Not to worry! You did his eyes very well! They look great to me. It just takes a little practice. :blowkiss: :blowkiss:   :hi:

You wouldn't say this, if you saw how I handled watercolors, but thank you, anyway. Joyce

Thank you, Shahin. I'm going to try to back off a bit on the charcoal and carbon pencils for awhile, and work with just the graphite ones again. I think I've been getting too heavy handed.

 Jojemo - 07/08/09, 18:05 reply
Thanks, Christine. I was born in Lansing, MI. Grew up in Kalamazoo, MI. Met my husband in MIA, FL. We live in OKC, OK now.

 Christine - 07/08/09, 22:26 reply
Well youi are not too far from Michigan City Indiana when in Kalamazoo. MI. so we were almost neibors at one time anyway. I have never been to OK so that would be a new experience. I have visited Florida been to Disney World, Universal Studios, and Epcot Center. We especially liked the area around there. Keep in touch I love your art work!!

 Jojemo - 08/08/09, 05:46 reply
I have been to every state except Hawaii. I've also been overseas to several European countries, and back in the '50's I was in Havana, Cuba when Batista was President.

 Christine - 09/08/09, 01:37 reply
I have been to quite a few states actually. We went to Las Vegas to Claifornia saw Disney Land and Bush Gardens there and the great San Diago zoo. Lots of places even to Canada, and Mexico when in California. We vacationed in Cancun and we did a humanitarian mission to Equador with my brother-in-law taking glasses to the poor and he made artificial eyes for the poor and contact lenses too. My husband and I were just helpers but we did a lot of work and we did get to see the Inca Ruins. We missed the Galopagas Islands but maybe sometime. My daughter was in the military we didn't get to visit her in Puerto Rico but we did make it down to Key West. Such good times traveling I am so happy you got to experience your travels it is so much fun to share stay in touch and we can exchange tales.

 Jojemo - 09/08/09, 03:49 reply
I haven't been to Disney Land or Busch Gardens, but I have been to the San Diego Zoo. It was good of your brother-in-law to do that work in Equador. We missed Cancun on our 1st NCL cruise, because of Hurricane Wilma, but did get to Cozumel, Mex. When Ed and I lived in MIA, we drove to Key West and had green turtle steaks in a restaurant there. I don't remember the restaurant's name. It probably isn't still in business now. We've been to the Czech Republic three times. Lovely country.

 Christine - 09/08/09, 14:59 reply
We have a son-in-law who is stationed in Hampton Va. so we plan to visit again. We have been to Bush Gardens there and to Colonial Williamsberg. While in Florida we went to the famous Sloppy Joes and to Trumans Little White house and to Hemmingways house. Not to mension our trips to Canada to see Toronto and also been to Niagra Falls twice. Every year we go to Branson Mo. Gary is a big country western fan and I enjoy going on the lakes there while he fishes for rainbow trout. I am so happy we met it is fun to share adventures. Do you have a facebook or myspace???

 Jojemo - 09/08/09, 18:31 reply
We like British Columbia (Nanaimo; Sydney, & Vancouver); also Thunder Bay, ONT, CAN. I have a My Space and a Facebook account, but haven't been active on either one lately. Recently I tried to close my Facebook account, because my drawings have been uploaded from Photobucket automatically, without my consent. I couldn't find where to uninstall it, so I'm just not going there any more.

 Christine - 09/08/09, 21:52 reply
I have sites on each of them so if you get there especially the facebook one I have tons of photos of the family and art work galore. I am not worried about my artwork it is okay but not sensational . I know a lot of artists much much better than me so it is just fun to post and hope folks want to pay for personal portraits of either their kids or someone they love.

 Jojemo - 10/08/09, 03:45 reply
I'm glad you are getting a lot of enjoyment out of those websites. I may return later, but for now ,I'll pass. There's too much on my plate right now.

 scannerdarkly - 10/08/09, 12:43 reply

 Jojemo - 10/08/09, 20:09 reply
Again, I thank you, Bram. I am trying not to use such a heavy hand on my drawings, since I did this one,
