Your 200th portrait and each one is so amazing in it's originality. This is a breath of delight. I looked through your gallery and can't believe all that was done by one artist. John you have the creative hand of a genius.
Hi Jeanz! What a very nice thing to say!! Thank you kindly. I stole this idea!!! Sorta. I had a photo of Audrey I had wanted to do and saw a beautiful painting by a 14 year old French girl named Mallaurie (she's here). So she and the photo deserve more credit than me AND, I still think she did it better! BUT ... YOU are my new favorite person du jour!!
Hi back to you John, ... I believe we all steal ideas here there and everywhere ... we just add our little bit and make it our own. Tee hee ... I'll take your "new favourite person" with a huge, beaming smile and, just like the buddhists believe, feel the glee then wait until the proverbial suffering occurs when your next "new favourite person" arrives on the scene. Tut tut, the fickle ways of the male mind. - but it's nice to be a favourite person even if it is for a fleeting moment. Have the most incredible weekend, may it be filled with love, joy and blissful peace
Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who's the ficklest of them all? Be it Gentleman or Dame, Once an artist, all the same! A shameful piece of doggerel after your generous words. I hope you too have a magnificent weekend Jeanz. With your wonderful attitude, I'm sure you will!
Oh no ... an artist and a poet!!! I just dabble in limericks and they always turn out extremely rude - so I steer clear of creative writing and stick to the drawing. I wouldn't suggest the same to you though as your doggerel was kinda cute. Take care and stay sweet.
John, now this is something else and very original. It looks like a character from "Pixar" and as such, I expect her to move at any moment. Audrey AND Brando there gain an awful lot from their body language which shows their character and repeating myself, they both have movement ,therefore a life that other portraits don't always show. Great !!
Thanks a lot Tom! the photo was Audrey-angelic, so I added praying hands, a hat & veil and stopped just short of a stained glass window ;¬D I really appreciate your erudite comment
