Bertie Ahern is an Irish politician. Since 26 June 1997, he has served as the tenth Taoiseach of Ireland. He currently heads a coalition government that is lead by his Fianna Fáil party and also includes Green Party and Progressive Democrats, with the support of a number of independent TDs.
